NC Fried Fair

We took the kids to the NC State Fair this afternoon. I did not want to go, I practically begged, but Rob took the afternoon off from work so it was a done deal. The kids themselves did better than I'd hoped but the crowds just kill me. It doesn't help that I hate crowds, I get very anxious, I don't want people near me. Just one of my adorable "quirks".  Oh well, it's not about me. So on to the kids. 

They played their very first Fair Game! And of course it was fishing. The game was fun but Austin was too young to understand he could not play all day and then leave with the pole. Tantrum #1. 
Our first Fair Ride! It never occurred to me the kids would want to get on a ride. Maybe Austin but Madeleine says she wants to then freaks out. But she insisted and we gave in and they loved it!  


She even got into the wave. 

On to the next ride. This one required a wait! That was not fun but guess we should get used to it. She waited patiently to ride the boats. 
And she thought she liked it, smiled a minute, then hit the wall and wanted out. 

This is how it ended. And this was the start of our way back to the car. Had enough.
