Happy Birthday Mom!

Wow, a birthday party that didn't involve swimsuits. How very grown up. We went to dinner at Angus Barn last night in honor of mom turning 45 (cough, cough). The kids stayed home with Janet and we had a lovely evening of adult conversation and laughs. Ahhh. Rob is in California so he missed out but I know he's bummed. 

Choices, Choices My life is so hard

Rob is on the road again and this time I intend to tag along. The kids are insane and I need to run away for a short time. So my choices are:

Or a phenomenally beautiful resort - CordeValle in San Martin California. 

Two entirely different trips and make it impossible to choose. So I have to ask myself, "why choose?" The kids are still young enough to be okay with it I think (right?)

Now Rob just has to agree!

Aunt Ree came for a visit last week and had a little recital on Grandma's piano with Mom and Austin. I think Grandma would be happy.

I'm grateful that he is fishing with the kids while I sit on my butt
and drink coffee on this pretty Saturday morning. Oh wait... I just
heard "I need mommy!" I have to hide!

What in the name of all that's good and holy?

Rob and I did our "Fitness Age" on Wii last night. What a terrible experience! I knew I was in trouble when I could not hit any of those wacky baseball pitches. But I was not expecting this...

That's right, according to the "Wii Powers That Be" I am 75 years old. Great. 

Rob didn't fare a whole lot better with the ripe age of 53. But at least I can now say I'm married to a much younger man. Go me.  

I got my mojo back playing Boxing. I kicked Rob's 53 year old butt.
